A martial artist must also be a healing artist.

When a person practices martial arts for self-defense, he does it to protect himself from potential harm caused by the enemy's attack, enabling him to safeguard his life, loved ones, etc. when facing dangerous situations. In addition to human adversaries, what are the secret and most challenging enemies that every martial artist, as well as everyone else, must always be ready to confront? Illnesses are the more formidable adversaries every martial artist must confront to safeguard their lives. Many masters of Pangamot or Eskrima, and various martial arts practitioners in different martial disciplines died at an early age or at the wrong time due to various illnesses. They were able to defend themselves against attacks of blades, clubs, punches, and kicks but failed to protect themselves from health issues like diabetes, renal failure, and Alzheimer's because their martial arts education did not include natural healing practices. It is important to understand that a person must practice martial arts to protect themselves from enemy attacks in both unexpected and expected dangerous situations.

A martial artist can protect against physical attacks from enemies, but who exactly are these enemies? Bad elements can exist within a person or come from different attackers such as viruses; this is why individuals must practice martial arts for self-protection. Specifically, the bad elements could also include illnesses caused by the following root causes:

1. Natural illnesses, such as cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer's, are among the various diseases that modern technology can diagnose.

2. Supernatural illnesses refer to all types of conditions or health issues that cannot be diagnosed through laboratory processes.

3. Spiritual sickness is a type of illness that has its roots in spiritual causes, such as a person’s divine calling or negative karma. The final type of supernatural illness is poisoning caused by mind control, which includes blinding ignorance and the negative aspects of the human ego.

The Dugukan Martial Arts System adheres to the principles of Spiritual Martial Arts, which are rooted in both its origins in Mystical Order Formations first practiced by the ancient masters since the beginning of time and its art's nature as a way of life that is both timeless and eternal. This mystery transcends space and time; it refers to a mystery that has roots in the divine foundation of life and cannot be understood simply with just the mere power of human understanding but by the force of the spirit of the divine or wisdom. Therefore, the essences of the Dugukan Martial Arts System encompass not only arts, cultures, sports, and bodybuilding but also spiritual practices primarily aimed at healing life and nature, promoting longevity and rejuvenation, facilitating growth, and achieving soul realization, all contributing to the ascension of life into higher dimensions.

Martial arts—known as Pangamot or Eskrima—encompass self-defense, culture, sports, wellness, and bodybuilding, and these elements serve as parts of the fundamental exercises within a code of life. In the Dugukan Martial Arts System—Mystical Order Formation, the principle of 101 ways to explain one hundred ways shows all the lessons a person can learn, giving meaning to martial arts and all things, while the one way is Absolute (oneness), which covers four mother lessons of all the lessons: 1. Wisdom 2. Nature/Naturalness. 3. Perfection and 4. Divine union or ultimate ascension.

In accordance with the fourth definition, martial arts, a code of life, necessitates that a martial artist also be a healing artist. This distinction is due to the fact that martial arts serve as both a code of life that further encompasses sporting events and other activities. The Dugukan Martial Arts System not only teaches the skills and cultural elements of Pangmaot or Eskrima, sports, and brotherhood, but also helps its practitioners understand the importance of balancing their physical and spiritual foundations as complete individuals, emphasizing the knowledge and wisdom that connect life, health, wellness, spirituality, personal growth, and the journey to a higher existence.
